METHOD OF PREPARATION : Asanadi gana drugs are taken in a quantity of 20 pala each. This should be added to 8 drona of Jala; heated and reduced to 1/4.

Add 200 Pala of Guda, 1/2 Aadhaka of Madhu, and a Kalka made from Vatsakadi Gana drugs (each ingredient of Vatsakadi gana taken in 1 Pala quantity) to the kashaya. This blend is then transferred to a Ghrita Bhaajana that has been internally coated with a paste made from Pippali Choorna and Madhu. Thin teekshna loha patras made to red hot by heating in khadira angara is immersed into the mixture kept in the vessel. Nivapa should be continued until the entire teekshna loha patra gets dissipated completely. The vessel is then sealed securely with cloth, and melted lac is poured over it to ensure a tight and proper enclosure. Finally, the vessel is stored under Yavarashi for further processing. This should be kept for as many days as required and used for internal administration. This is considered having more guna compared to the previous formulation mentioned before this formulation in this chapter of Ashtanga Hridaya which is Lodhrasava.

METHOD OF PREPARATION : Teekshna Loha Patra with the thickness of tila is taken and coated with Lavana varga. This is heated to red hot using gomayagni and immersed in Triphala kashaya and Salasaradi varga kashaya. Nirvapa should be done for 16 times. Now the loha patra is again heated to red hot using Khadira angara and made to sookshma choorna once it cool down. This is then filtered through a thick cloth and stored.
MODE OF ADMINISTRATION : Considering Bala, Jeerna Ahara Lakshanas etc.; administered with Sarpi and Madhu (Nibandha Sangraha commentary – done thorough mardana of Ayaskriti with small quantity of Sarpi and Madhu using Lohadanda.)
