तैलं कृत्वा कटाहे दृढतरविमले मन्दमन्दानलैस्तत् । ।
तैलं निष्फेनभावं गतमिह च यदा शैत्यभावं समेत्य ।
मञ्जिष्ठारात्रिलोधैर्जलधरनलिकैः सामलैः साक्षपथ्यैः । ।
सूचीपुष्पा‌ङ्घ्रिनीरैरुपहितकथितैर्गन्धयोगं जहाति ।

METHOD OF PREPARATION :

First, put the oil in a strong and clean iron pan and place it on the stove over low heat. As the oil heats up, the foam that forms on its surface should be allowed to dissipate. Once the foam has disappeared, remove the pan from the heat and let the oil cool. Again keep the vessel containing oil above the fire. Next, add kalka made of the mentioned dravyas to the oil; add 4 parts water and heat until paaka lakshanas are attained/ the water content gets removed completely.
