तुल्या लवङ्गमरिच अक्षफलत्वचः स्युः सर्वैः समो निगदितः खदिरस्य सारः॥ 
बब्बूलवृक्षजकषाययुतं च चूर्णं कासान्निहन्ति गुटिका घटिकाष्टकान्ते ॥
वातं निर्दलयन् कफं कवलयन् उन्मूलयन् पीनसं
दृष्टिं निर्मलयन् प्रभां प्रवलयन् हृद्रोगं उत्सादयन् ॥
निःशेषं जठरामयं प्रशमयन् उद्दीपयन् पावकं
कास- श्वासनिराससाधनमसौ विश्वाकषायः स्मृत: ॥                    ( Vaidya Jeevanam 3/7-8 )

Babbula kashaya preparation : 1 part babbula added with 4 times water and reduced to ¼.

Indications         –       Peenasa, Hridroga, Jataraamaya, Kasa, Shwasa

(mentioned in the verse that this vati if consumed cures all types of kasa within 8 ghatika (1 ghatika = 24 minutes))
